Sure, you brush your teeth and floss every day, but that is only part of the equation for maintaining your oral health. It would be best if you also had regular dental cleanings. Not only will this remove tartar and build up, but it will also allow your dentist to evaluate the health of your teeth and gums. This can identify potential problems before they become major issues. At Eastland Dental Center in Bloomington, IL, Drs. Mike Milligan and Marisa Milligan work with patients to maintain their oral health. If you have any questions, a visit to the dentist is the perfect time to get the answers you need. We’re here for you when you need a dentist for teeth cleaning in Bloomington, IL.
Many people come into the dentist’s office wanting whiter teeth and improved oral health. While there are many commercials for over-the-counter products, the best step is to discuss whitening or any type of dental concern with your dentist. They will be able to guide you as to the best course of treatment for you.
If your teeth are sensitive, you may feel reluctant to get your regular dental cleaning. This can be a sign of an additional problem, such as a weakened enamel or a cavity, that should be discussed with your dentist. They will recommend any needed treatment or make a suggestion to update your homecare regimen to make you more comfortable.
Your regular dental cleaning appointment is a great time to talk with your dentist about what steps you can take to maintain your oral health. Even if you take regular care of your teeth, there may be other things that you can do. This can involve including healthy foods in your diet. It may also mean breaking bad habits like crunching on ice. All of these things will contribute to your overall oral health.
