Regardless of how many teeth you are missing, dentures can work well for your smile at our office near Normal, IL. When you come in to the office to have your smile restored, the dentist will help you choose between a variety of partial and full dentures.
If you still have some healthy teeth, it is likely that you will need a partial denture. Not all partials dentures are the same and you can choose between economical options and high quality options that will be incredibly comfortable. If you are considering getting dental implants, you may receive transitional partial dentures to keep your other teeth in place and keep your smile functional while you wait for your implants.
When you have lost all of your teeth, you have quite a few options to restore your smile. You may still receive conventional dentures that can be removed and replaced, but you don’t have to wait until your final denture is made anymore. If you have your teeth removed, you may receive an immediate denture that can help you get by until your customized denture is ready.
In an effort to create the best dental restorations, dentists now offer a combination of restoration options. Since it would be impractical to replace an entire smile with implants, but a full denture is not necessarily as comfortable and stable as implants, one solution is to get an implant-supported denture. This option is ideal in many ways because it pairs the stability and permanence of a dental implant with the simplicity and functionality of a denture. Together, they can work to provide a stable and comfortable restoration.
If you have lost any of your teeth, give our office a call at (309) 663-4711 to make an appointment with a dentist who can discuss your restoration options with you. Dentures are still the ideal solution in many cases, and we can provide the best type of dentures for your smile.
