If you are able to reach us during normal business hours, we do our best to see you the same day. If your dental need occurs after hours, our service can assist you in finding the solution you need until you can be seen the following day.
Special considerations
If your dental emergency involves a broken tooth or broken restoration, it is best to keep broken pieces and bring them to our office at your appointment time. In the meantime, pain may be alleviated with over-the-counter medication. If a tooth has broken or restoration has fallen off, it is possible that nerves could be exposed. Care must be taken with eating and drinking so that intense pain does not occur. Room temperature foods and beverages are most suitable until the damaged tooth can be restored.

If you have not yet visited Eastland Dental Center, you can expect to be greeted by a friendly, knowledgeable reception team who will move you as quickly as possible through your check-in process. Though our reception area is very comfortable, we do not intend for you to stay there long. We understand the stress and discomfort that comes with urgent dental situations and do our best to treat your concern right away.
The number one priority in providing emergency dental care is to get rid of pain. Once this has been accomplished, we may discuss treatment options that will improve the long-term health of your smile. Some problems can be completely repaired in a single visit. Others may require additional visits to complete restoration. In such instances, we will protect the tooth with a durable temporary and discuss how to proceed based on your situation.

Eastland Dental Center
Eastland Dental Center is owned and operated by the father-daughter duo, Dr. Mike Milligan and Dr. Marisa Milligan.
Dr. Mike completed his doctor of dental medicine degree from Southern Illinois University in 1978. Dr. Marisa completed her doctor of dental medicine degree from Midwestern University in 2015. Both doctors have logged hundreds of hours of continuing education to stay on top of the latest technologies in dentistry as well as the most current research on the oral-systemic, mouth-body connection to benefit their patients. Dr. Mike and Dr. Marisa are active members and in excellent standing with the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, McLean County Dental Association, American Academy of Oral Systemic Health, and numerous other societies.
Both doctors are avid golfers and have won several national golf tournaments over the years. They are the only father-daughter team in the state to have won the Illinois State Amateur Golf Championship. Dr. Mike in 1974 and Dr. Marisa in 2005.
